This machine is even better than I expected. I read all the reviews and thought this would be a good machine. Wrong! It is THE best machine. I've used a few others in the past and quickly went to making bread by hand. Then I found I didn't have the time to make bread and started buying bread in the store. UGHH! No taste. So, I thought I might try a bread machine again for the last time. And am I glad I chose this one. It was worth every penny and then some. Don't hesitate! Buy this! You won't regret it. It is so easy to make whatever kind of bread you like. My favorite is Honey Wheat Bread. And get Beth Henspergers The Bread Lovers Bread Machine Cookbook with it. My mother bought this bread machine for me in August for my birthday. I still have a working bread machine she gave me 14 years ago when I married my ex-husband. That one still works very well, but I have to say this is the Mercedes Benz of bread machines! It does everything I need it to do very well. My other machine is very noisy so it was difficult to cook and listen to music when I was using it. The Zojirushi DOES make noise, but not nearly as much so the noise isn't a problem. This machine makes beautiful loaves of bread and does a great job making dough. This is one of the best gifts my Mom has ever given me!
I will say that I own a Zojirushi coffee maker as well. It is the best coffee maker I have ever owned. I've had it for 6 years with absolutely no problems or decline in performance! Zojirushi makes their products to last and last!

The bread machine was more than I was going to spend.My research showed this machine highly rated. This machine was worth every penny. I have made white ,french, sour dough ,cinnamon raisin, and wheat. All loaves were perfect. The recipies were all included.Watching the Dvd (also included) helprd as the intructions differed from my old machine. Amazon had the best price.Customer Review: Good but at full price NO

My original intent was to buy one over a year ago. But the price was too high. Instead I bought Panasonic SD-YD250 Automatic Bread Maker because the price was right. A few months ago I found a reconditioned model (it was perfect).
Here are my findings on the X20
I like the horizontal loaf and the ability to control the cycles. I am not a big fan of the clunky pan locking mechanism. For some reason the bread is sticking to the space between the pan and the bottom of the paddle. Some people have written about the lack of light to view the bread and I think it would be a good idea to have one.
The bread making manual is written in the most frustrating style possible.
You will not be buying this to make jam it is a bread machine. All those other features that not include bread and dough simply good marketing. The sour dough option looks so good on paper but I preferred the traditional, reliable, method.
It is a good machine but not at the price though my was considerably cheaper as a re-conditioned unit.
Simply I prefer the Panasonic SD-YD250 Automatic Bread Maker but it does not have custom mode.

This is the best bread machine I have ever used. It makes a superior loaf of bread that is a nice shape and size with a beautiful soft texture. The preheat function offers the opportunity for consistantcy in the quality of the bread, no matter if you use the delay function or not. One big bonus is that it offers a quick bake option that produces a high quality loaf. If you are crunched for time, you don't have to sacrifice quality. I would recommend this machine to anyone who cares about enjoying the best bread!
