I'd had my eye on this coffee pot for awhile before I purchased it. It brews excellent coffee! The basket separates easily from the base for quick cleaning and the carafe keeps coffee hot through the day without the burnt taste. The only thing I am dissatisfied with is the fact that it overflows easily while brewing (about half the time), especially if a gold cone filter is used. It overflows if paper filters(it takes #4 cone filters)are used as well. It seems to push hot water through much faster than the design of the lid can handle. I only brew without the lid in place now. Not a big deal, but we are supposed to be able to brew through the lid. Yes-I am sure to remove the cap for the lid. It really does brew excellent tasting coffee though. ;)Customer Review: Our coffee often ends up all over the counter.

It does it often enough that we cannot use the automatic settings, and have to stand over it to make sure that it's flowing into the carafe, repeatedly checking water level, and trying to figure out if it's actually going into the carafe. This is an absolute PAIN, and we might as well be making coffee the old fashioned way, pouring hot water into a cone manually (which by the way, makes absolutely better coffee). We tried different coffee grounds, making sure everything is absolutely clean and it still does it! I want to love the coffee maker as so many other people do, but there are just too many problems...the coffee tastes great...when it's not running all over the counter.Customer Review: Zojirushi EC-BD15 Better than advertised

I have had this product 3 months now and could not be happier. It is very simple and easy to operate and clean. I disconnect the coffee maker after making coffee and store it under the counter in a cabinet. The coffee tastes delicious and most important, stays very hot in the carafe for hours. The last cup tastes as good as the first cup because of the carafe. Cleaning is simple and effortless. The temperature of the coffee is 165 degrees upon finished brewing. The complete process of online purchase through Amazon and delivery was flawless. Directions are easy to read. Setup and brewing were perfect the first time. Best value coffee maker on the planet. Excellent design - not idiot proof but close. Use a #4 filter and fold it at the bottom seam twice and on the edge once. Perfect fit! Rinse carafe with warm water and screw on lid tight. Fill reservoir with cold clean water and required coffee in basket. Note the placement of carafe and make sure it is centered correctly and tap the start button. 5 minutes later and a bit of steam noise signals it is done. Take that carafe anywhere and the flavor and heat is retained for hours. An excellent coffee brewer!
